一、課程目標Course objectives
This course aims to help students develop a foundational understanding of how artificial intelligence is applied in supply chain management and global logistics, with particular emphasis on Taiwan’s semiconductor and high-tech industries. It enables students to understand the interrelationships among AI, supply chain systems, and international logistics operations, and to recognize the major applications of AI in forecasting, production planning, logistics coordination, traceability, and risk management. The course also helps students examine the strategic role of Taiwan’s semiconductor and high-tech industries in global supply chains, analyze how AI enhances operational efficiency, industrial resilience, and global competitiveness, and reflect on the ethical, managerial, and sustainability issues associated with AI-driven transformation in high-tech industrial systems.

三、授課方式Teaching approach
This course introduces students to the application of artificial intelligence in supply chain management and global logistics, with a special focus on Taiwan’s semiconductor and high-tech industries. Students will examine how AI technologies enhance forecasting, production planning, logistics coordination, risk management, traceability, and international operations. Through case studies involving semiconductor manufacturing, electronics exports, and high-tech global value chains, students will develop a practical and critical understanding of how Taiwan’s strategic industries respond to geopolitical change, technological disruption, and sustainability pressures. The course also encourages students to connect AI-driven operational innovation with ethical governance, industrial resilience, and global competitiveness.

The course is designed to cultivate students’ core competencies in professional knowledge, critical thinking and problem solving, communication and expression, global perspective, innovation and practical application, as well as ethical awareness and social responsibility. These competencies will be developed through a variety of teaching activities, including lectures, guided reading, case study analysis, classroom discussion, oral presentations, project-based learning, and reflective inquiry into real-world issues related to AI, supply chains, and global logistics. Students’ achievement of these core competencies will be assessed through class participation, written assignments, case analysis, oral presentations, midterm reports, and final projects, so as to evaluate their understanding of key concepts, analytical ability, practical application, and capacity to reflect on strategic, ethical, and global dimensions of AI-driven industrial transformation.
