一、課程目標Course objectives
The course introduces quantitative modeling techniques in Business Analytics and AI application domain that can be used to solve common business problems faced in modern enterprises. The course also includes four applied projects that addresses problems drawn from real-world business settings where the use of analytics skills yields the insight of business drivers and provides actionable recommendations. In addition, the projects will offer challenges that include big data and undefined business values, which will develop and advance students' critical thinking abilities. At the end, the course gives the introduction to modern Gen AI techniques, as it has been emerging in contemporary Management Science domain.

三、授課方式Teaching approach
Teaching approach: Lecturing with theory and modeling techniques using practical examples/data, in conjunction with project reviews and discussions.
四、評量方式Grading criteria:
The assessment for this course mainly includes class participation and projects. In addition to students’ performance and differences in academic ability (such as test scores), the grading criteria place particular emphasis on students’ level of participation in class (for example, active responses and engagement) and also take actual class attendance into consideration.
