一、課程目標Course objectives
This course consists of three hours of lectures per week. It aims to strengthen students’ understanding of fundamental concepts in kinetics and to cultivate independent thinking skills. Students will learn to derive and flexibly apply basic kinetic equations to solve complex problems. Through the process of deriving equations, students will gain deeper insights into the fundamental concepts and development of kinetics. 本課程每週包含三小時的課堂講授,旨在強化學生對動力學基本概念的理解,並培養獨立思考的能力。學生將學習推導並靈活運用基礎的動力學方程式,以解決真實動力學問題。透過推導的過程,學生將能更深入理解動力學的基本概念及其發展。

三、授課方式Teaching approach
We will use "Physical Chemistry: Quanta, Matter, and Change, 2nd Edition" by P. Atkins and J. de Paula. The lectures will cover basic concepts first and then focus on solving real-world problems. 我們將使用 P. Atkins 和 J. de Paula 合著的《Physical Chemistry: Quanta, Matter, and Change》(第二版)。課程講授將先涵蓋動力學基本概念,接著著重於解決實際動力學問題。

Students are expected to review the supplementary video materials and literature to reinforce their understanding after class and to share their feedback during class discussions.
八、TA協助事項Teaching Assistant tasks
1) Help to prepare homework solution, supplementary video materials, and recent relevant literature 2) Assist in grading homework, and quizzes 2) Hold regular office hours (1 hour per week) to answer student questions 3) Help to supervise mid-term exam, final-term exam, and in-class quizzes.
