一、課程目標Course objectives
Advances in Analytical Chemistry (I) is a course that emphasizes the principles and applications of analytical Chemistry. Through the lecture content, students can learn the fundamental backgrounds of material chemistry, electrochemistry, and analytical chemistry, and also the recent progress and the professional and technical news in these fields. Then, students can achieve a solid ability for mastering the world's advanced chemistry-related technologies and developing innovative analytical methods and tools in the future.

三、授課方式Teaching approach
The lessons of the course are typically delivered by the instructor during the class time. PPT files will be used as visual aids to engage students participation. Students will evaluate their knowledge through exercise practice and learning sheets. Each student will give an oral presentation related to the topics of analytical chemistry delivered in this class. PPT files of the presentation must be submitted to the teacher after the oral presentation.

Attendance & Participation 25% Midterm exam 25% Oral presentation, PPT 25% Final exam 25% However, students who ask for leave or miss too many classes will be dealt with in accordance with the regulations of the university.

*Every student gives his/her oral presentation with the prepared material for 20-30 minutes. PPT file must be submitted after oral presentation. If the student is unable to answer the question, he/her must provide an oral supplement or a written report before Final Exam. *Please note that the schedule is tentative and subject to change throughout the semester due to the class progress. Chapter topics and activities may be altered if necessary.
