一、課程目標Course objectives

This course consists of three hours of lectures per week. It is designed to enhance students’ understanding of fundamental concepts in quantum mechanics and to cultivate independent thinking skills. Students will learn to derive and flexibly apply basic quantum‑mechanical formulas to solve complex problems, and through the process of derivation, gain deeper insight into the fundamental concepts and development of quantum mechanics.

本課程每週上課三小時，將加強調授課學生對量子力學基本觀念的理解與培養獨立的思考能力，並能推導及靈活運用基礎量子力學公式於複雜問題之計算，藉由公式的推導過程來瞭解量子力學基本概念及發展。

三、授課方式Teaching approach

We will use "Physical Chemistry: Quanta, Matter, and Change, 2nd Edition" by P. Atkins and J. de Paula. The lectures will cover basic concepts first and then focus on solving real-world problems.
我們將使用 P. Atkins 和 J. de Paula 合著的《Physical Chemistry: Quanta, Matter, and Change》（第二版）。課程講授將先涵蓋基本概念，接著著重於解決實際問題。

Mid-term Exam:  30%
Final-term Exam: 30%
Participation (quiz, homework and attendance): 40%
Extra credits: Taking course notes (0–3 points); participation in skill‑enhancement activities organized by the campus library or the Center for Teaching Development and Learning Support (0–3 points).
1) 期中考:			30%
2) 期末考:			30%
3) 學習態度(隨堂小考、課後作業及出席):	40%
4) 自主學習表現加分:課程筆記(0~3) ，參加校內圖書館115-1"大家來找查"資料庫利用課程及115-1教學發展暨學習輔導中心舉辦的教師知能增進活動(0-3)，至多加分三場。
