一、課程目標Course objectives

In this course, students will receive guidance on developing proposals for their theses and equip themselves with the basic knowledge of academic writing format. They will approach the proposal writing task step by step, starting with formulating and refining their research questions. Next, they will construct literature reviews, outline their methodology, proofread, and format exemplary academic papers, and finally draft a proposal on the topics of their choice. Moreover, students will learn how to effectively use online academic journal databases, formatting websites, and AI tools to assist them in their proposal outlines and drafts.

七、彈性教學

Based on the content covered in this semester’s coursework, students are required to develop a research proposal to facilitate their thesis writing. The research topic must be relevant to the themes explored in this graduate institute. Students will work on their preliminary research proposal and participate in peer review at the end of the semester. A full written version of the research proposal must be submitted before the end of the term.

1. This course is taught in Chinese. It is not open for auditing.
2. Taking photos, videos, or making audio recordings is not allowed during class sessions.
3. Five absences will result in a final grade of zero.
4. This course incorporates partial AI assistance in learning activities.
5. Details of the oral presentation and will be determined after the enrollment is confirmed.
6. Any changes to the course arrangements will be announced in class and Moodle.
