三、授課方式Teaching approach
This course uses a genre-based approach to develop students’ writing skills in real-world and academic contexts, focusing on descriptive writing, resume writing, advertisements/posters, and the cause-effect essay. Students will explore each genre through guided analysis, drafting, peer review, and revision. Alongside genre instruction, the course emphasizes writing as a process, helping students improve organization, coherence, vocabulary, and tone. To support this process, students will learn to integrate AI tools like ChatGPT at various stages of writing. These tools will be used for brainstorming, outlining, vocabulary enhancement, and revising drafts. Students will also reflect on the ethical use of AI and learn how to maintain their own voice and ideas while using AI assistance. Through this blended approach, students will gain practical writing skills and digital literacy essential for academic and professional success.
