一、課程目標Course objectives

人工智慧、深度學習的基礎在對機器學習方法的了解，作業研究方法為機器學習其中一分支，尤其是線性規劃、整數規劃、決策樹、賽局理論等，學生若具有作業研究基礎，更能在資料分析上更具競爭力。 課程中也會利用全球知名實際案例輔助，讓學生更能了解如何利用解決實際問題，也鼓勵學生多注意相關國際會議INFORMS、EURO與競賽，拓展其國際視野。
 To help students to understand Operations Research (OR) and apply OR methods as well. 
 To build up the ability of decision making and communicating. 
 To know how the new technology help in OR.
 To extend students’ horizon in international academic exploration.

四、評量方式Grading criteria:

Class participation: 15%  		                                Midterm: 30%
Writing assignments and quizzes: 25%	        Final: 30%
Note: Any new idea related to OR method is very welcome. Overdue Homework is not allowed except prior approval. Besides, plagiarism will deserve a zero grade for the assignment.
