一、課程目標Course objectives

This course aims to guide first-year social work students in understanding the origins and historical development of social work, its core meanings, professional values, and practice principles, thereby establishing a foundational understanding of the discipline and fostering learning motivation. The course also introduces the theoretical foundations of social work, key concepts related to human behavior and the social environment, and the basic application of primary direct service models: social casework, group work, and community work. Through diverse learning approaches, students will preliminarily explore current practices across various fields of social work and the ethical situations that may arise, cultivating a deeper understanding of and commitment to the social work profession.
