一、課程目標Course objectives

This course is designed to prepare you to interpret and analyze information from corporate financial reports for the purpose of financial analysis and valuation. By the end of the course, students will be able to use financial statement information and related disclosures to evaluate the firm’s past and present performance and to predict likely future outcomes.
本課程可培養學生「核心能力」之具體說明如下：
(1) 整合分析能力：本系學生在修習財務報表分析前，多已具備經濟、會計及財務管理等基礎，學生修習財務報表分析技能，有助於提供決策制訂之數值分析依據，此課程可提升學生整合分析能力。
(2) 投資管理與分析能力：課程內容涵蓋企業流動性分析、長期償債能力分析、獲利能力分析、資產管理能力及市場價值分析，學生透過財務報表資料之解讀，加上其他各種相關資訊之研判，運用財務報表分析技術以綜觀整體企業全貌，提供財務報表使用者進行決策時所需資訊，學生修習此課程可提升投資管理與分析能力。
(3) 公司理財與分析能力：公司理財內容涵蓋企業價值評估、資本預算、資本結構、融資規劃、投資銀行與企業上市、企業風險管理、公司理財與行為財務學乃至公司治理等重要議題，各項主題皆與企業財務報表分析息息相關，學生修習此課程可提升公司理財與分析能力。

三、授課方式Teaching approach

(1) Lecture on major concepts and issues: Interactive lectures with PowerPoint slides are conducted with the lecturer explaining and illustrating the financial statement concepts.
(2) Student case study: The group project will be performed. Students are required to prepare a written report and give an in-class presentation in teams.
(3) Discussion: Students will be invited to share their views on applying the financial statement concepts.
(4) Question and answer.

	Attendance:
Come to the class on time. I will call the roll from time to time. We expect attendance at each class. If you are unable to attend the class, please email me and specify the class you are missing and your reason for missing the class. I will take attendance into account in evaluating student performance and assigning final grades.
	Examination:
No early or late examinations will be permitted. Unless prior arrangements are made, absences from examinations will result in a score of zero for that examination.  Exam questions will focus on material covered in the assigned textbook reading and course notes. The exams will be closed-book and closed-notes. It is critical to the reputation of our degrees and to the Department of Banking and Finance that we behave with the highest possible degree of academic integrity. Academic dishonesty is absolutely not allowed.

(1)	決定分組(每組5-7人)，每組以不超過7人為原則
(2)	決定個案分析之二間競爭公司(金融業除外)
(3)	共同完成個案分析之Homework (Extra)
(4)	共同完成個案分析之詳細書面電子檔(Word格式或pdf格式)上傳課程資訊網
(5)	期末準備PPT 上台報告
(6)	組員互評會影響Case Study的可取得分數
互評給1-5分。
平均得分4.5~5之間，得分為Case Study配分*100%
平均得分界於3.5~4.5之間，得分為Case Study配分*95%
平均得分界於2.5~3.5 之間，得分為Case Study配分*90%
平均得分界於1.5~2.5 之間，得分為Case Study配分*85%
平均得分界於1.5以下，得分為Case Study配分*80%

撰寫Case Studies分析書面期末報告(Word檔)並繳交，必須包含針對課堂報告時所被提問或發現錯誤的地方進行修改。
